Miscalculated arrival, will have double payment

I guess I miscalculated my ED arrival and neglected to find out if my dealer would have done anything with the remaining 1 - 1.5 payments. I got a decent deal so I don't think they'd have absorbed the remaining lease payments.

BMW Financial says there's nothing they can do it's up to the dealer, does anyone know if this is correct, can BMW Financial do something but they just don't want to?

what you mean you miscalculated it? you have no impact on when your car is going to get here - it can be 3 weeks or 2 months. I hope you knew that when you decided to do ED

You should have made one payment out of pocket when you signed the lease, then BMWFS makes one payment for you, then you're on the hook for the rest. Unfortunately, that's the big drawback to ED; paying for a car that you do not yet have back in your possession.

Just wondering if BMW Financial would be willing to eat the payment since the dealer is not. BMW says it's up to the dealer, but I don't know if they are entirely frank with me.

Not sure I understand. When I signed my lease on 4/1, I made one payment out of pocket. I just got my first statement that included my first payment plus a credit from BMWFS for my second payment. The net result is that I owe $0.00 on May 1, but will owe my usual payment on June 1, whether the car is back in the USA or not. There was never any mention made to me of payments continuing to be made on my behalf after the one "free" payment that BMWFS made.

Yeah, the post is confusing. I read it as he had an existing lease that he was getting out of and he's still got a payment due after his new one commences.
