Last Thursday I put a deposit down on a 2006 330i For ED for a 6/27 delivery. They said it would take three days to get a production number. Today they called and said it wouldn't be a problem, go ahead and book, but still couldn't actually give me a prduction number. Do you think I am safe to book travel or should I wait until I have something more firm? My dealer has been great but the guy I am working with had never done an ED before.
How often Has BMWNA been unable to fill an order 70+ days out?
Does any one else have a confirmed delivery date around this time?

I would probably wait a couple of days until you get the production number in case they cannot secure that date. Although it would be around the same date you may not have that flexibility as far as time and scheduling.

The more likely problem is that the delivery center is booked. I can't imagine they couldn't get the car built in time. But, yeah, I would wait a couple of days, unless there's a fare sale so good you can't pass it up. Then I might roll the dice.

Go ahead and book it... You will be fine. No need to wait. ED office has already commited to a delivery slot, Trust me on this one.
