WAW. cool way to track. Mine is still not in their database. But I will keep trying. Thanks.
BMW uses several shipping lines, one of which is NYKLines. Unfortunately as many of us have found out, NYKLines operates in stealth mode resulting in not knowing when the ship will dock. If your car ends up on a Wallenius boat then you have a chance at tracking. The good news for you is that if you live in Virginia, you can expect to see your car in 4-6 weeks - no Panama Canal voyage for your Bimmer!

My car is on the vessel FIGARO.
It's scheduled for NY port on Jan 6, 05.

You can't actually track the ship itself, only view the schedule, and see that it has reached its next destination. But no tracking across the ocean or anything like that. While there are some sites that do track that way, they are weather sites, and ships report their position voluntarily. I checked on Figaro, and it doesn't report. My ship did not either.

Oh man. huh.
So when is your ship expected to dock?
It's so frustrating to wait
