just checked owners circle and said it is in production for completion oct 4. Anyone know how much longer to get to San Fran (thought I had heard about a month). Sure enough just as the rain starts in Cali I will be washing that blue a lot!

Thanks Roland! My wife and kids think I am obsessed so getting this car will be a good thing. The other day I found myself with my laptop watching a youtube video in some language I couldnt understand showing my daughter before she went off to cheerleading. She was cracking up (as was I that I would do something like this). But the wait is fun ... I have been totally in love with my s2000 ive had for about 7 years and 1 week now and I cant wait to add the Mcoupe to the mix now (maybe a bit of the 7 year itch? who says you can love cars too????). Passion takes many forms - I like the quote I saw in one review "this is the car that put the soul back in BMW" or another quote "my pulse was 20 beats/minute higher in the BMW vs the Cayman" - I am so glad the raw hard edge was made a priority in this car!!!

Patience, grasshopper. My car was completed on 8/18 and just arrived at the Port Hueneme VPC this past week. The actual delivery is still 2 weeks away for me.

I totally understand!!! I ordered mine on 7/1 and the 2 month wait was both exciting and obsessive with LOTS of hours expended on line reading every review and watching every video I could find. My wife is used to this after 17 years of marriage...but she does make me aware that it is still noticed.
Once you get the car, the obsession will continue - only you'll be able to jump back and forth between the web and the real thing!!!
