 power window troubles

Ok, yesterday i rolled down the front windows on my 01 325. They went down fine, but they were SUPER slow and would sometimes get stuck coming back up. Like the seal was too tight. So i lubed the rubber seals where the window slides up and down. They were fine for about 3 hours, and then they did the same thing again. I read on E46 finatics that ALOT of e46's have power window problems. I was just wondering if anyone else has had this strange problem and what they did to fix it. I cant see myself lubing the seals every morning. Anyway it sort of seems like its an alignment issue. thanks for any advice you can give.

I'm having the same problem with my E39 wagon- haven't found a permanent solution yet.

iirc my dealer charges ~$300 per window to fix it...

ot but I think it's pretty bad that bmw doesn't do anything to rectify this problem, as it is so rampant and widespread (especially on e46's)...my bro's car has 2 that need fixing

bmw should extend the warrenty on the regulators imo to @ least 6 years minimum
