Have a 1998 540iA with 102K miles. Is the ATF fluid lifetime? if not how often are we supposed to replace it ? Is there anything else besides oil and spark-plugs that needs regular maintenance with this mileage i.e bushings. Car runs great, no problems since purchase 25K miles ago.

i'm going to change my "lifetime" manual tranny fluid in 9K miles (100K). yeah, i think it's a good idea to do that. i'm not sure if the manual and auto fluid are the same but i'm going RP.
