 starter problem

As I started the car today, it kept on 'turning' (that churning noise repeated over and over). A few seconds after the car failed to start, I knew something was wrong and I immeadiately removed the key. the car started normally on the second try. what gives?

this was not a cold start either.

That happens from gunk in the engine

your kidding right? that thought did cross my mind tho. will the computer show this in a error code? if this is a result of the sludge, I need some way to prove it other than attempting this again in front of a tech.

Not an uncommon issue. Mine does that maybe 2-3 times per year. I have not heard of a definite fix.

Me too, happens once or twice a year, I have never really worried about it, or asked the dealer.

cool, so there isn't anything for me to worry about.

now that I think about it, it might have something to do with the quick key turn start? funky stuff
