Help! Question on tire sizes...

Looking to getting a set of 18" wheels for my 540i sport. I have seen a set of 8.5 x 18 all around. Tire size is 235/40/18 all around.

Is it a good idea to put the same size all around?? I'm sure they will fit, but I don't want to change the height of the car. I do not plan on lowering it either! Ideally, I would love to have them staggered.

What is the recommended size for the 18" like on the M5's??

THe M5 tire sizes are 245/40/18 Front and 275/35/18 Rear. The 245's will fit on an 8.5" wheel the 275's will not. The stock tire size for a 03 540i sport with the M-parallel wheels is 235/40/18 and 265/35/18 18 X 8 and 18 X 9.

You should be fine with 235's or 245's on 8.5" wheel, just make sure they have the proper offset to so they dont rub.
