I am looking at 1997 528 that I might buy. The seats really stand out by being in such good shape, but one thing I can't figure out is the difference in the stitch pattern. The car I am looking at, all of the seat have two parallel stitches that go across the seats ( the bottom of the seat has been make from three pieces of leather). Then I noticed that all of the other 5 series that I look at have "T" pattern stitched on the all of the seats. Anyone know the reason for this? http://photos3.ebizautos.com/4975/652545_16_350.jpg http://photos3.ebizautos.com/4975/615665_10_350.jpg

The first photo is the seats I have in my 97 528i and they are the yinyl covering, not leather. 8 years old and still look great. These wear much better then leather.
