TV/NAV Unit retro fit
Can anyone tell me if it is worth considering ? How much work and money are involved ?
Note: The e39 I just aquired was PERFECT in every respect except for the lack of TV/NAV unit. I couldn't resist it, forgive me!
| | Reply » TV/NAV Unit retro fit | I don't know much about how the cars are buillt for you folks Down Under but here in the US, if your car doesn't come with NAV in the first place, it will be very expensive and very difficult to install it after the fact. There are all sorts of extra wiring harnesses that need pulled from the front of the car to the trunk. In my opinion, it isn't worth the hassle. It would be better to buy a car that already has NAV installed. However, if you have NAV, adding the equipment to make the TV work isn't really too bad. www.nav-tv.com is one place to research...there are others here. Do a search on "nav tv" and you'll hit a few more web sites.
