 Great service from radiators.com

Hi,

I thought I would share a very positive experience I had with www.radiators.com. Tuesday night I pulled into my garage and noticed a small amount of steam coming from the left side of the hood. Upon closer inspection, I found that I had a pinhole sized leak spraying coolant all over the left side of the engine bay, and that I had just become a victim of the dreaded radiator failure on my '00 540/6.

Wednesday morning, I went to radiators.com and ordered a new radiator for my car. Their price is very reasonable at $199 for the radiator and $7 for FedEx shipping and that includes lifetime warranty on the radiator. The radiator was at my house the next morning (pre - 8:00am) and I had it installed this morning. These guys were on the ball! I called the company to thank them for their prompt service, and the owner of the company wanted to let me know that if anyone else needs a radiator for their BMW, he will knock another $10 bucks off the price if you mention my order number, which is 21052122.

I do not work for these guys, nor do I have any financial interest in their company or in the transactions that result from the mentioning of this order. I just had a positive experience and wanted to share that with you guys. That is all.

Cool beans, Dustin. I'll even toss a sticky on this for ya and see how many folks can save a few bucks on their radiators.

It is interesting that they give a lifetime warranty...very interesting....

Dustiin,

Did the radiator you bought look like it was built differently then the unit on your car? Did it have a better constructed "neck" on it? Any other details that the forum members might need to know? Thanks for the info!

The radiator is an OEM replacement. Sorry, no fix for the weak neck.

but isn't the neck connected to the radiator? it's the hose the goes on the neck and that neck is there it breaks, right?

What was your mileage when the radiator went?
