Hello All

Any good/bad/maybe experiences with the 07's (looking at ED in Dec.)
Also, will I regret going for an 07 now and not waiting for an 08??

Cheers!

I've got a 2007 530xiT, and it's been great so far, but I've only had it one month. It sounds like there have been some issues with the steering sensors, but maybe someone who's affected by this might have more to say.

Hey there...

Regret with BMWs is certainly a relative term I will regret not having a 335 until the new M3 comes out and so on as new products/engines are introduced constantly in the auto market.....What are you looking to get out of your car? I am assuming in Maine, AWD is one of your requirements as well as the added room of a touring (wagon). How about performance? transmission? It is highly probable that the '08 will have the new, more powerful twin turbo engine so if added performance is big for you, than you might be better off waiting...Otherwise, the current engine is terrific and proven. From a transmission standpoint, steptronics are more prone to turbo lags than a manual (even though bmw claims virtually no t-lag). Also, who knows if/when the wagon will get the new engine.
Finally, if you decide to lease, the 530xit's tend to have good money factors although the programs/incentives vary from month to month.

well, i was referring to the third/fourth year of production mid run facelift that BMW historically has (also 528xiT?? 535xiT?? keeping in mind the driver will be my mother)

Cheers!

The early spy pics indicate that the facelift will not be major...even in regards to the usual mid-production run changes. Also, BMW will probably only bring over one of the 6 cylinder engines it maybe the 528xit rather than the 530. which means slightly less power than the current wagon.

Go for it, you'll love it!! Do NOT order comfort access -- it doesn't work well in the wagons for some reason. The comfort seats are WELL WORTH the expense, as is the premium sound & NAV. Rear seats fold very easy, the car handles well, the panorama moonroof is VERY cool. Do it early, don't wait.
