I have an '05 530i When I try to accelerate hard from a very slow speed, the car hesitates and then will take off. Is this normal, and if not, can anythign be done about this?

It could be that your tires are losing traction and DSC is kicking in. Do you see a yellow symbol flash in the gauge display? If so, that's what it is.

No, it is not that. It is definitely engine related.

Ken | An upgrade to CIP software I think will remedy this issue. I would check with your dealer service advisor and/or service manager.
