After waiting 15 weeks, my '06 550i finally came in last night. What a blast! The car is just fabulous. And then 2 hours later and 70 kms into my new ride I get a flat! The dealership told me there is an irrepairable puncture. They have ordered me a new tire for $360 CAD. Does anyone know if Continental or BMW Canada offer some sort of goodwill rebate on OEM tires for someone in my situation (since I only had 70 kms on the tire)? I know I could have gotten the tire for a lot cheaper if I went to an aftermarket tire shop but I had already taken my car back to the dealership and am currently driving around in the salesmanagers car... Thanks! |

There is parts warranty on tires? I assume the puncture is my fault. Would the warranty still apply?

You assume, but you never know, replace your tire, then take the flat tire to the dealer, it never hurts..

Dig into it...you probably have some kind of claim you can use. Also, look into what your own car insurance might do.

Are you saying I should take my flat tire to the BMW dealer? They currently have my car, but have told me I need to pay for a new tire. Will they get some compensation/rebate back from Continental? I didn't even think about asking for the tire back.
