Does anyone know if its possible to order options 430 or 431 (auto-dimming for exterior and or interior rearview mirror) without the premium package on US 525i/530i models ? What is the difference between the two?

I'm not sure if it is possible to order them separately.
But, the autodimming mirrors are great!
I've installed after market versions on my Avalon (waiting for my MY07 530xi),
my wife's Honda Prelude and my daughter's Sentra.
I wanted to change the external mirrors to autodimming but they weren't available.
I'd go with the Premium package and both mirrors.

to get info on how they work and why they are great - no more fumbling with the
day/night mirror switch and the outside mirrors automatically dim as well.
They only dim at night when headlights are behind you - that's why it is important to have both inside and outside mirrors dim. I'm sure BMW disables this when you
shift into reverse to aid in backing up at night.
