Hi guys
My 2003 clk-500 lease will be finished June 1. I am very interested in getting 530xi or 530xit/ premium,sport, auto, cold weather,nav/. Owned X-5 for 3 years, and currently my wife and daugther drive X-3 3-0/black sapfire-wife and silver gray-daugther/.I am a huge fan of bmw and consider ED in July/August.
Please can somebody clue me in details of ED, and clarify if it really good idea. We love travel and Europe is our favorite. In last 4 years drove in Germany,Switzerland,Austria,France,Italy,Spain,Bel gium.Was very fortunate to drive BMW735d,530d,MB C200,C280.Anyway I love driving and will enjoy new bimmer on the autobahn.

I don't think you can do ED in July...the factory is shut down preparing for the new model year however MY2007 is different this year: it is coming out in April instead of August/September.

However, that said, I'm sure they will still close down as usual.

Definately read up in the ED forum. ED is about the coolest thing one can do in getting a BMW. I will do it for all future BMWs I purchase without hesitation.

I was planning to ED in late June, early July. If factory is shut down at this time I guess, I better plan some alternative dates. Do you know when does the factory reopen?

You just have to make sure you get your order in so the car is produced the month before it is shut down. You can still pick it up during the shutdown.
