 14 weeks and still waiting!

I ordered my 550i from a Toronto dealer October 20. Still not here. Does that make sense? I know people in the States are getting their cars in 8 to 10 weeks from order. My sales advisor or "BMW Canada Sales Master" as stated on his business card says this is normal, that we only get a fraction of the cars that the US gets and etc...

I am frustrated! I haven't gotten my '06 and MY07 will be starting production in a month.

Did this dealership sell my car to someone else and are just having me wait for another one to come in?

Something sounds fishy, but I dunno about Canada.

I test drove a 550i and 530i again today at the dealer to decide which to order for ED the first week of May. Actually my best friend in the world for 15+ yrs is my sales advisor and said he could spec a car to my liking for ED pickup within 60 days so 14 weeks sounds really long to me...

I went through a wasted time period with my original dealer. Turns out they were waiting for an "allocation" or something like that. They did NOT want to look around for another allocation in the zone, so I lost about 3 weeks until I found out what happened. Another dealer went to work, acquired an unused allocation from another dealer, and my car was ordered within 24 hours. Check my dates below for progress. Unfortunately the progress update is only available for American vehicles. From what I understand there is not something similar for Canadian bound vehicles. I have tried to pressure my dealership by getting the VIN. I figure this way they have at least assigned the car to me. But now what do I do?
