 Wheel/tire upgrade for 2005 530i

I have a 2005 530i (non-sport model)

I want to upgrade wheel/tires to:

18x8.5 (+20mm) wheels with 245-40-18 tires (front)
18x9.5 (+20mm) wheels with 275-35-18 tires (rear)

I would appreciate any fitment/ride comments from anyone
before I buy.
Thanks

I can't speak to the tire sizes, I would recommend checking out the tires forum on this board. As for the RIM, note that when you have a 18x9 OEM wheel on the back, the offset is 32. You're looking at 8.5" on the front, and 9.5" on the back. I'd watch the offset (depending on the rubber, which is where I can't help you - sorry)

I looked up several vendors for these wheels (for my car) and
I see different offsets for same width wheels. For example, for the 8.5" wide
wheel I see offsets of 15, 20, 25mm.
The wheels I am looking at have offsets of 20mm for both widths of 8.5" (front)
and 9.5" (rear). I think that means the my rear wheel would stick out more by 0.5".
Does that sound right. Whether the wheels would actually fit/run properly is another
question.
