New 550i & New to Bimmerfest

Hi guys. I'm brand new here. Just got a 550 Sunday PM and have only driven it to and from work so far. I love this car. It's my 4th BMW but my first 5 Series. I trade cars pretty often, and so far I've no regrets. The power, suspension, driving position and build quality impress me (with only 40 miles on the odometer). Looking forward to taking it thru the canyons this weekend. Car is replacing an 04 X5 and an 05 Carrera -- figure the E60 is best of both worlds. Pics to come...

Have you got a Valentine One yet ? If not buy it now before the first ticket..this car is so smooth , 100 mph feels like 45 in a Camry !

Thanks. I've been looking for reasons to "run a quick errand" because it's so much fun to drive. Almost time for a Starbucks run.

The parktronic is much more advanced than the one used in my old SL500 (an '03 I kept for 18 mos.) -- more visual detail on screen, plus better audio bleeps make it easier to get in and out of my tight driveway.

Just returned from Verizon phone store switching my Motorola V710 to an 810, BMW dealer said many have problems with bluetooth integration. Mine did not work through the car's system, and Verizon upgraded the phone. They are FedExing the new one tomorrow, and then back to BMW to get it working in the car. Hopefully it will work out.

The car has Sport Pkg, and I anticipated a harsher ride, but it's actually very smooth. My 911 was the base model on standard 18s and that car was so firm you felt every bump and I was beginning to hear every rattle.

I love this car!

You should not need to go back to your dealer to pair the phone with the car. It will take you only a few minutes to do this.

Both phones work with BT in the E60. I'm surpirsed you ae having this type of a problem.
