greenwich connecticut. darien, new canaan. lake forest illinois. weston mass. palm beach florida. the hamptons. get the picture? bmw wagons have a long history in such places. there is a certain elegance and refinement and "old world" classic feel to the bmw wagon. if anyone has ever been to these places or has any idea what they are about, they will know what i am talking about....i am not advocating snooty towns, i am simply making an aesthetic reference.

In the "upper crust" area known as LA county and the Orange Curtain, I see a handful of BMW wagons now and again but many more Merc wagons. In the Northeast (in general) I noticed many more Subaru wagons more than other makes.

Yep, merc wagons (and Audi) wagons are definitely more popular in those areas.
