BMW offers two diffrent blacks.
Jet Black
Black Saphire
What are your opinions on these, what are the pros and cons of both colors.

To me jet black is well blacker, and it has more of a mirror finish than the saphire. My friend got a new e90 in black saphire and parked next to my jet black 550, after he looked at both of them he told me he wished he got jet black, IMO it looks much better

I was told - jet black is a softer paint and would not hold up as well for scratches on the front of the vehicle. When I was purchasing, I looked at both blacks. I like the jet black. In my opinion, jet black is blacker looking and when detailed looks fantastic.

i was looking at the black saphire at the dealer and thought it was pretty nice.
i think i am goign to have a second look before i place my order.
Jet black just seems kinda cheap next tot he black saphire which looks richer

It's not "softer", it just shows scratches more easily.
But they're still there, either way.

What are your opinions on these, what are the pros and cons of both colors. | From talking to the body shop that repaired my Jet Black... they say it's easier to match (Jet Black) in the unfortunate event that a (body) repair is necessary down the road.......
