iDrive Reboots about every 2 minutes

I guess it was too good to be true (no problems until today). I've got something like 300 miles on my new 530xi (November 2005 build). Starting today, every time I drive now, the iDrive just reboots -- over and over and over and over again. Listening to NPR on the way home from work was fun. I could only get about 90 seconds of radio time before iDrive would reboot. I could navigate around in iDrive for about 60 seconds after boot. After that, 30 seconds of no control followed by a black screen, then BMW logo, then the nag screen.

Anyone seen this one before (I did search before I posted)?

I'm scheduled to drop it off on Friday...

I am betting your CCC is toast and they'll replace it. Keep us posted

I just took delivery of a 530xi and within a month my idrive just completely went blank. Idrive is toast. Wont have car back for a few days....not happy! I traded in a 540 sport and never had a problem....this better not be the start of many visits...i feel quality is slipping for increased unit sales...

I traded in a trouble-free 1999 528i for mine. I hope this is not the start of more problems.

Anyways - they are replacing my CCC and "Radio Center" (not sure that part that is). I'm supposed to have my car back on Monday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

We got snow today, and I'd love to be checking out my xi's abilities tonight. I did get an X3 to drive, but it just isn't the same.
