When the mirror switch is in the driver's side position and the you shift to reverse, the right side mirror swivels down. Is there any way to control how far it turns down? My mirror goes down way too much to be useful. I end up looking at the ground between the front door and the backdoor.

Seriously... I had the same feature in my 1999 528 and both cars mirrors adjust/adjusted perfectly for me. How tall are you?

From what I read in the manual for my 550i , one can disable it from swiveling down.

There are two options:
If you toggle the mirror switch to the passenger side, the mirror will not move when you go into reverse. (This is what I have done)
The second option is to have the dealer re-program the mirror to lessen the amount by how much it goes down which would cost you $$.
