Oh that could have been a mistake. What a fantastic car. Could be the perfect car to replace the M3 . |

It is quite a car, but wait a little while before making a move. It's hot now, but I predict that dealers will have difficulty selling them over the Boxter S. The car also has awful lease residuals.

Be sure to cross shop vs. the MZ4 coupe in a half a year.

The Z4 coupe will be cheaper, and the residuals will be higher, but with all due respect to BMW, it won't be as resolved as the Porsche.

The Porsche Cayman will be better designed as a pure sports car with its mid-engine layout and a chassis that is not derived from anything other than the Boxter. The Z4 is front engined, and borrows much of its underneith design from the former 3 series.
I love BMWs. Don't get me wrong. But they excel at making sport sedans.
When it comes to pure sports cars, Porsche offers superior handling and chassis design.
