Hello -

I wanted to drop a quick note to thank everyone who posts in this forum. Armed with all the informative posts I just inked a deal for $750 over invoice on a 530xit Monaco/Auburn with the steptronic, premium, and cold packages. Turns out the car I wanted is in transit and should be at the dealer in around 10 days.

Now, does anyone have a good site for purchasing the OEM accessories (shift handles, trunk mats). I haven't found one in my searches.

Thank you again,

Don

Wow, $750 over dealer invoice is a great deal...for you. I was happy paying $1,700 over dealer invoice (3% or so) but maybe a little less happy now . I wanted my salesman and M3 track instructor to make a few bucks so I just didn't have it in me to haggle any more. He was damn patient with me and threw me the keys to many cars over a four month span. Nice job, you'll love the car.

It actually turned out to be around $715 over invoice, now that I do a little math.

I really appreciate the forum.

Speaking of accessories, once of the cheapest things you can buy from BMW is that All Weather Rubber Trunk mat for $65+Tax (it's on the BMW Website - Accessories). I would highly recommend it, to protect your trunk carpet. I even saw the Weathertech version which I usually get go for over $100!?

I am also thinking about getting the wood grain shiftknob, since the Aluminum knob matches the Idrive Knob, but looks cheap.

The cargo mat will be going in the car the second we take delivery! We've learned from experience with our two kids.

I dunno if www.pacificbmw.com will be worth it for you since you are on the opposite coast but you could give them a shout. They are the place to buy OEM parts from out here. Their mark-up is quite low.
