2006 530i lease questions
I got a lease quote for 2006 530i and have few questions -- number are below. The quote is $620/month.
1. Should I pay tax up front? 2. Can security deposit be waived? 3. Are any numbers below negotiable other than vehicle selling price?

MF .00140 Residual 62%. Sold at $51023 MSRP $53,120
Total out of pocket is $3973.30 includes 1st month, 1 refundable sec deposit,plates, doc fee, BMW bank fee, and tax up front of $1869.30.

Thanks! | 1. Consult your accountant. I don't know how NY works with taxes. But if you were in california, I wouldn't recommend paying it up front. What if you sell the car in a year or have somebody take it over and step up to the 550?
2. You can get it waived in two ways I know. Pay a higher money factor or have been a previous/current BMWFS customer.
3. The MF is already at the wholesale rate. If you want a better price, try to see if European Delivery would work.
| | Reply » 2006 530i lease questions | Yep, Euro Delivery will get your cap cost down about 7% however it will increase your MF to 0.0017 (EDs get a 0.003 surcharge). Doing ED, BMWFS will pick up 1 month of lease payment (I think) but then you'll be without the car for 4-5 weeks after ED drop-off so it's a wash kind of. In CA, we pay tax on a monthly basis and only on the amount of time we have the car. No way I woud prepay that if I didn't have to.
