Is it me hallucinating or have others expeienced some instability / swaying in high winds in a 5er. Doesn't seem to be much different from my Corolla.
Additionally it seems to "slide" a little on uneven ground, like over gravel. Don't recall my innocent Corolla doing this or maybe the Corolla just does not have enough horsepower to make the driver feel the inconsistencies in the road.

Apart from all this I just love the handling of my E60. Very stable at high speeds and bends.

The only thing I've noticed is that the runflats tend to tramline on heavily grooved freeways such as I5 south of hwy 91 here in Orange County.

Do you have a sport package model? Do you have active steering?

active steering corrects this issues you have.

I don't even notice when there is lots of winds kicking up outside...
