Where is CD Changer Plug in Glove Box 2004 530i

I must be missing something. I am trying to install a ipod adpater in 2004 530i and I open glove box and look around behind fuse box and I do not see a prewired plug for a cd changer like I have had in all my other bimmers. Sat so I cannot reach manufacture of USA-SPEC

Thanks

Chris

There is not an iPod adapter available for an E60. The best you can do is install an auxillary line input, whihch requires a trip to the dealer and a software update.

If you're talking about the BMW iPod connector, there isn't one available for the E60 yet.

If you're talking about the aux input, you need to remove dash wood trim and the panel that contains the A/C controls, to access and remove the M-ASK/CCC. Here's aux input install instructions:
aux input install

Cheers!

After removing the black plastic "shield" covering the DIN that holds the glove box mount CD Changer, you'll find some wires taped together with "fuzzy" tape. It may be tucked away on the top or bottom of the opening but it's there - it's a bit lumpy. Upon unwrapping the fuzzy tape you'll find the connector (for changer) at the end of the wires.

I hope this helps!

Cheers for now!
