Oil Good For 18,000 miles?????
I have a 2006 530 and I have 10,000 miles on it. I took my car to the dealer because it seems my service indicator was off. According to the indicator, my car would not need a oil change until 18,000. The dealer is going to check it but he said there is no max. I have read on the boards that it counts down from 15,000. Is he just telling me some BS ? | | Reply » Oil Good For 18,000 miles????? | Quote: I have a 2006 530 and I have 10,000 miles on it. On the other hand, most of us believe that even 15K is a load of crap that BMW AG is feeding us. Do yourself a favor and pay to have the oil and filter changed now (or soon). You can change it yourself for $40 or so or have an independent shop do it. Just make sure they don't reset the oil change lights.
