 Rough Idle

I have my 545i for 2 weeks now. Since I got it I notice it's a little shaky when stopped at traffic lights. Not a lot but still annoying being that it's a new car.
Any thoughts?

I had the same problem. The dealer seemed familiar with the situation and a simple (but loooooong) software upgrade fixed the problem for me.

Hope that helps.

Hmmm....a little shaky...those BMW V8's should be a smooth as butter, so I would take it in for a complaint. Good luck, keep us posted.

Okay. I will call my BMW service guy on Monday.
You would think after paying a vehicle preparation fee it would have been noticed before the car was put in my hands.

I picked up my '05 545 last Sat. I noticed some shimmy at highway speed and rough idle with the AC on. The car idles smooth with AC off. I will be bringing the car in on Tues to get fixed.

Also, I am having a hard time coming to a smooth stop due to the brake assist. The pedal pressure required to stop is too light. Is there any way to reduce the effect of the brake assist?

I notice the same thing with the brakes. Very hard to come to a smooth stop. Always a little jerky.
